Containment has failed

Mesozoic Protocol

A single-player roguelite tower defense where you pilot a hero mech alongside your turrets and hold thirty outposts against waves of dinosaurs and matriarch queens.

No download, no account, no ads, no microtransactions. Desktop and mobile builds are in preparation.

The Premise

A revival-biotech outpost lost containment. The specimens integrated the revival hardware into themselves — bone laced with scaffolding alloy, packs coordinating on frequencies that were never theirs — and they are no longer ours. The cloning rigs are still running inside the perimeter, because they were never designed to fail safe. From a fixed top-down camera, you pilot a hero mech alongside chains of sci-fi turrets and hold the line. Every run ends in extinction — yours or theirs.

What's in the Game

A hero you actually drive

Four pilotable mechs, each with four active abilities — dash, burst, self-buff, and a pilot-specific ultimate — fighting in real time on the same map as your towers.

Six tower types

Pulse, Chain, Cryo, Mortar, Pyre, and Hive — a drone bay whose drones orbit assigned towers to boost their fire rate. Two upgrade paths each, three tiers per path.

Six matriarch queens

Biome-themed bosses, each with her own model, resistance profile, and child-spawn stream. The raptor queen sheds juvenile swarms as she runs; the apex apatosaur ends the campaign.

Thirty outposts, six biomes

Hand-designed levels across forest, snow, desert, wasteland, lava, and alien biomes. Eight enemy kinds with distinct speeds, HP, and resistances, layered with shield, heal, regen, elite, and fierce buff chips.

Heroic + Containment modifiers

Each level grades up to three stars on Normal, plus a bonus star for Heroic (forbidden tower or rewritten waves) and one for Containment (one life, locked loadout, no selling). Five stars per level.

Persistent progression

A meta-skill tree per tower kind and a skill tree per hero. Stars unlock permanent modifiers. Endless mode opens after the final outpost.
